From Addiction to Redemption: The Raw Truth Behind Blessed Beverage Co.

Blessed Beverage Co. was born out of deep pain, healing, and purpose. For me, this isn’t just a business—it’s a ministry and testimony of what God can do. Here is a little snippet of my story (more to come soon!).

I (Sara) struggled with addiction at a young age, and even after getting clean, I spent years battling alcohol abuse. It became a crutch—a way to numb. It clouded my spirit and pulled me away from the life I knew I was meant to live. My husband, Nate, was incarcerated after a drinking and driving accident. In that dark place, he met Jesus, gave his life fully to Him, and vowed never to drink again. Watching him transform and spend every day walking in faith and serving others inspired my own transformation—one rooted in surrender, healing, and hope. I felt a strong calling to give up alcohol, especially in support of my husband.

As a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I’ve always been passionate about holistic health and the way food and drink can either support or sabotage our wellbeing. I knew there had to be a better way to celebrate life—something fun, delicious, and beautiful that didn't compromise our health or convictions.

There was nothing out there I loved (ingredient and flavor-wise) so I’d make my own. Sitting on the porch at our cabin one day, drinking one of my own concoctions, God gave me a sweet little idea…

That’s when the vision for Blessed Beverage Co. came alive. Alongside my sister, Cassie, we dreamed up a line of non-alcoholic drinks designed to uplift, calm, and encourage—rooted in Christian values, crafted with wellness in mind, and styled with a bold, retro flair.

The 70s inspiration came after watching Jesus Revolution, a film about the powerful movement in the 1970s where so many “hippies”—young people searching for love, joy, and peace—found it in Jesus, the only true source of those things. I resonated with that SO deeply. Their longing was my longing. Their transformation mirrored mine. And I knew I had to bring that heart, that freedom, and that message into our company and mission.

I also realized that giving up alcohol can feel lonely and isolating in today’s culture. So much of social life revolves around drinking, and when you choose a different path, it can feel like you're stepping away from connection. But we weren’t just giving something up—we were choosing something better.

Cassie and I longed for a community of like-minded individuals who would support and love us through the transition, not ridicule us for the decision to change. We craved spaces where people could feel seen, encouraged, and empowered to walk in freedom without shame or pressure.

That’s another reason Blessed Beverage Co. was born. Not just to create a drink—but to spark a movement. A place where choosing wellness, purpose, and a sober mind is celebrated. Where Jesus is at the center. And where you are never alone.

Our drinks are for anyone choosing clarity over compromise, healing over hiding, and joy over judgment. Every can is an invitation to taste and see that the Lord is good.

This is more than a beverage. It’s a revival. And we’re so grateful you’re here.

If you’re feeling the pull to quit drinking, or simply craving support and community as you make that shift—we want you to know: we’re here for you. You are not alone. This space was made with you in mind. 🤎
